Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Payer Contracting Manager to oversee monitoring and negotiation of payer contracts, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance and strong provider relationships. You will coordinate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams while leading contract language and rate discussions.

The role supports remote work with travel as needed, participates in Joint Operating Committees, and offers a pay range reflective of experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and supporting complex negotiations.
• Ability to present advanced topics clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into clear summaries.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring caregivers.
• Experience with payer contracting and contract language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of assigned payer contracts, including negotiation and management of language, rates and methodologies.
• Maintain expertise on contracts and amendments, rates, methodologies, and providers/facilities.
• Ensure contract language, documentation and payment terms follow standard practices.
• Represent Payer Contracting and Intermountain Health in key relationships and committees.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with payers; coordinate with Finance and Legal teams.
