Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Senior Payer Contract Manager to develop and implement contracts with third-party payers on behalf of MultiCare and its affiliates. You will lead negotiations on payment terms across multiple models and manage ongoing payer relationships to improve revenue and access.

You will ensure contract language aligns with state and federal laws, supports strategic priorities, and mitigates financial, legal, and operational risk for MultiCare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration, or 10+ years equivalent payer contracting experience.
• 7+ years in financial/medical data/payer mix analysis or contract negotiation in healthcare.
• Experience with DRG, RUG, APC, RVU and conversion factors.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations with assigned payers on payment terms and models.
• Manage the payer relationship and identify opportunities to improve revenue and reduce costs.
• Draft and negotiate contract language compliant with state and federal law to minimize risk.
