Job summary

Olsson is seeking an experienced NDT Senior Technician to perform advanced non-destructive testing using phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and other methods for construction and asset integrity projects. You will set up, calibrate, and operate equipment, interpret indications, and prepare clear reports.

The role may include developing scan plans, supporting analyses, and mentoring junior staff while traveling to diverse job sites.

Qualifications

Current Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) in accordance with employer written practice or applicable industry standards
Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and procedures, including the ability to interpret and evaluate test results and document findings accurately
Experience setting up, calibrating, and operating phased array equipment and analyzing scan data for welds, structural components, or other critical assets
Ability to prepare reports, maintain inspection records, and support on-the-job training for technicians or trainees
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Additional experience such as TOFD, MT, PT, RT, or NACE are a plus

Responsibilities

Perform advanced non-destructive testing inspections using PAUT and other applicable NDT methods
Set up and calibrate equipment and execute inspections per procedures and client requirements
Interpret indications and prepare clear, accurate reports
May develop scan plans and support failure analysis or engineering evaluations
Mentor Level I technicians and travel to job sites as needed
