Job summary

Theory is seeking a senior pattern maker in New York to translate design sketches into production-ready patterns, ensure fit and finish, and collaborate across design and technical teams. You will guide sewers, review samples, and drive pattern accuracy from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of pattern crafting experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of men's pattern making and grading across formal to casual wear.
• Deep knowledge of menswear construction, fit, and development process.
• Pattern making for Men’s RTW, wovens and cut & sew manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop digital patterns from sketches and technical details.
• Inspect samples for pattern accuracy and modify as needed.
• Provide guidance to sewers on procedures to ensure accurate samples.
• Suggest patterns based on sketches to be developed.
• Create a detailed Cutters Must document for sample production.
