Job summary

National Police is seeking qualified officers to perform general duty police work, protecting life and property, enforcing laws, and maintaining order on assigned shifts in patrol cars, on foot or other conveyances. You will write detailed reports and support investigations.

Qualifications

  • United States citizen, lawful status or DACA as applicable.
  • 21 years of age or older at hire time.
  • Fluent English reading, writing and speaking.
  • Washington driver's license or ability to obtain one.
  • Completion of a state law enforcement academy or equivalency.
  • Medical and health standards required by Civil Service.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to emergency and routine calls for service.
  • Patrols designated areas by vehicle, on foot, bicycle or other conveyances.
  • Writes case reports, field interviews, logs and related reports.
  • Pursues suspects and makes on-scene arrests when warranted.
  • Investigates crimes and assists with court testimony.
