Job summary

Providence Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle is seeking a transport technician responsible for the safe and efficient movement of patients, specimens, supplies, and equipment throughout the hospital. You will use patient lifting devices and coordinate with care teams to support discharges and imaging turnaround activities.

Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 3 months of previous patient experience
• 3 months of experience in Epic function

• Move patients, specimens, supplies and equipment throughout the hospital using appropriate transport modes.
• Identify patients accurately and ensure their safety and well-being during transport.
• Coordinate with care teams for discharges, imaging turnarounds, and morgue transports.

Description

Responsible for efficient and timely movement of patients, specimens, supplies, and equipment throughout the hospital utilizing the appropriate mode of transportation and ancillary equipment while assuming responsibility for accurate identification of the patient, their safety and well-being. Familiar with proper use of patient lifting devices and capable of directing others in their use. Collaborative in coordination of care efforts such as discharges, imaging turn around functions, and morgue transports. Accurate use of Ticket to Ride as a hand-off mechanism.
