Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification required at hire.
• Experience with patient transport and safety preferred.
• Epic system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move patients, specimens, supplies, and equipment efficiently and safely throughout the hospital using appropriate transportation modes and equipment.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and monitor patient safety and well-being during transport.
• Collaborate in care coordination activities such as discharges, imaging turnaround, and morgue transports.
• Use Ticket to Ride as the hand-off mechanism for conveying transport-related information.

Familiar with proper use of patient lifting devices and capable of directing others in their use. Collaborative in coordination of care efforts such as discharges, imaging turn around functions, and morgue transports. Accurate use of Ticket to Ride as a hand-off mechanism.

Required Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months of previous patient experience
• 3 months of experience in Epic function
