Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Patient Safety Clinical Risk Manager to oversee risk management and safety across the health system. You will investigate safety events, lead Cause Analyses, address quality grievances, and support High Reliability initiatives while collaborating with clinical and operational leaders to improve patient and workforce safety.

The role requires nursing or healthcare-related education with clinical experience; certification in healthcare risk management or patient safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in nursing, clinical, or healthcare-related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in Nursing, Healthcare Risk Management, Patient Safety or related field.
• Certification in healthcare risk management or patient safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads investigations into adverse events and safety posts per regulatory standards.
• Supports High Reliability and Just Culture initiatives.
• Owns grievance investigations from inception to resolution and drafts regulatory-compliant responses.
• Maintains expertise in risk management systems and ERM; provides education and routine data.
