The PCT II will build on foundational skills, maintain certifications, and contribute to efficient unit operations while addressing the physiological, emotional, and social needs of patients and families in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with an interprofessional team.
• Good communication and collaboration with patients and families.
• BLS and basic safety knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the interprofessional team, patient, family to support care delivery and patient flow.
• Perform designated patient care activities under supervision, demonstrating clinical competency.
• Expand range of patient care tasks aligned with training and unit needs.
• Apply critical thinking to identify changes in patient condition and escalate as needed.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and readiness of the clinical environment.
