Job summary

Optum in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Senior Patient Care Coordinator to support the care team and deliver excellent customer service. You will verify insurance, handle check-in/out, collect payments, manage records, and help coordinate schedules while upholding Lean processes and company goals.

The role offers regular hours Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, working with a team to provide patient-first care and ensure accurate documentation and efficient operations in a fast-paced health care

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Greets patients and manages wait time.
Performs check-in/out tasks including insurance verification and pre-authorizations.
Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts.
Leads other team members and coordinates patient scheduling.
Maintains medical records and ensures proper documentation.
