The US Department of Energy Headquarters seeks a registered patent attorney to advise on complex intellectual property, data rights, technology transfer, and commercialization matters involving DOE-funded research and National Laboratories. You will help DOE programs navigate IP issues and provide memos, opinions, and guidance on licensing and compliance.

Applicants must hold a JD or equivalent from an ABA-accredited school, be an active member of a U.S.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a full course of study in an ABA-accredited law school with a professional law degree (J.D. or LL.B.).
• Current, active membership in the bar of a U.S. state, territory, DC, or Puerto Rico.
• Experience in intellectual property (IP) law and related matters.
• Ability to research and analyze IP, technology transfer, and provide clear advice and work products.

Responsabilités

• Advise on intellectual property, data rights, technology transfer, and commercialization involving DOE-funded research.
• Prepare memos, provisions, determinations, and other legal work product.
• Provide guidance to DOE programs, National Laboratories, and contractors on IP transactions and compliance.
