Job summary

You will govern strategy, schedules, and standards balancing security policies with mission needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with security and IT teams, driving automation, audit readiness, and reporting metrics on remediation timelines and risk reduction to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8+ years of patch management, infrastructure operations, or security engineering with progressive ownership.
• Experience with WSUS and SCCM or equivalent platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting audits, assessments, and automated patch management in regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise patch management strategy, standards, and schedules.
• Architect and optimize patching solutions using WSUS, SCCM, with detailed reporting.
• Lead response to critical and zero-day vulnerabilities with rapid patch rollouts.
• Establish and manage patch exception and mitigation processes with risk reporting.
• Partner with vulnerability management and IT teams to integrate scans and threats into patch planning.
• Design automation, scripting, and baselines to improve patch success and consistency.
• Publish executive metrics on patch compliance and remediation timelines.
