The ideal candidate has a theology degree (M.Div preferred) and at least 10 years of preaching/teaching plus 7 years in church leadership, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifikationen

New Covenant Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated, visionary Senior Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, development of the church, and to inspire congregational growth. Successful candidates will possess a strong commitment to preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and leadership development. This is a bi-vocational role.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Pastor will:

• Provide spiritual leadership, guidance, and pastoral care to members and watch care members.
• Preach biblically-sound sermons that inspire and reach all generations of the congregation.
• Prepare and teach engaging weekly Bible study sessions that deepen the congregation’s understanding of God’s Word.
• Perform and oversee church ordinances, including baptism, communion, baby dedications, weddings, and funerals.
• Offer spiritual counseling to individuals and families.
• Collaborate with Deacons and Trustees on church governance.
• Lead and develop church leadership.
• Oversee church programs, ministries, and community outreach initiatives.
• Represent the church within the local community and ministry association(s).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Relate to all generations and have an authoritative command of the word.
• Demonstrate a heart for God’s people.
• Demonstrate the ability to build community, promote discipleship, and encourage evangelism.
• Have attended an accredited school/university and earned a degree in Theology, Divinity, or a related field, Master of Divinity preferred.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years of preaching and teaching experience, preferably as an Assistant or Associate Pastor.
• Have at least 7 years of church leadership experience.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a part-time position.The salary for the position ranges between $35,000 - $40,000 commensurate with qualifications, education, and relevant experience.Total compensation and benefits will be discussed at the conclusion of the probationary period.
