Job summary

Renewal Presbyterian Church in West Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead the church in pursuing its vision and living out its values. The candidate should be a faithful preacher of God’s Word, a shepherd who cares deeply for the congregation, and possess strong leadership skills for urban ministry.

The role requires an M.Div from an accredited seminary, ordination or licensure, and at least 10 years in full-time pastoral ministry with 5 years in senior-level leadership.

Qualifications

• Meets the qualifications for elders and overseers in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• In full agreement with Renewal’s core values
• Must have an M.Div from an accredited seminary
• Ordained (or Licentiate) and willing to transfer into the denomination that our church is discerning to join
• At least 10 years in full-time pastoral ministry, including 5 years of “senior-level” “executive/senior-level” pastoral experience
• Strong biblical teaching, pastoral care, and leadership development skills
• Spiritually mature team player
• Passion for and commitment to urban ministry, discipleship, and community building
• Cross-cultural and intercultural fluency
• Proven record of effective leadership
