Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead worship services, including delivering weekly sermons and coordinating music with the worship team.
• Provide pastoral care, including salvation, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and counseling.
• Mentor and guide church staff and volunteers
• Supervise church office work, including bookkeeping and bulletins
• Engage with the community to promote church activities and membership
• Lead Bible study groups and religious education programs
• Call on members and prospective members of the Congregation
• Develop and implement outreach programs
• Ensure financial sustainability through stewardship and fundraising
• Represent the church at local, regional, or national gatherings

Job description

Gleneden Beach Christian Church is a non-denominational, independent church seeking a devoted and passionate Pastor to lead, guide and inspire a small community of faith. The Pastor will be responsible for delivering sermons, planning worship services, providing spiritual counseling, and ensuring the spiritual growth of the congregation. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, an empathetic nature, and a deep understanding of the Bible and Christian beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead worship services, including delivering weekly sermons and coordinating music with the worship team.
• Provide pastoral care, including salvation, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and counseling.
• Mentor and guide church staff and volunteers
• Supervise church office work, including bookkeeping, record keeping and any mailings or bulletins which the congregation may publish.
• Engage with the community to promote church activities and membership.
• Lead Bible study groups and religious education programs.
• Call on members and prospective members of the Congregation.
• Develop and implement outreach programs.
• Ensure the church’s financial sustainability through stewardship and fundraising.
• Represent the church at local, regional, or national gatherings
