Job summary

Brashear Baptist Church in Brashear, Texas, seeks a Senior Pastor to lead the congregation, His organization and staff to function as a New Testament church and fulfill the Great Commission.

The successful candidate will shepherd the church through vision, worship, evangelism and pastoral care, oversee staff and ministries, and uphold the church's Constitution and ByLaws.

Qualifications

• Be diligent in prayer and study.
• Lead the church in evaluating, adopting and fulfilling God's given vision and mission.
• Equip the church, His organization and staff to perform their tasks.
• Lead, supervise and facilitate the administrative functions of the church.
• Be a lifelong learner.
• Lead the Church in and ensure the functioning of ministry such as prayer, pastoral care, worship, evangelism and others crucial to the churches mission field.
• Foster biblical cooperation between the office of pastor and the office of deacon.
• Represent the church in local, associational, and ministries as they relate to the function of the church.
• To provide pastoral care through visitation to the shut-in persons in their homes, hospitals, nursing home, and other special settings.
• Implement Brashear Baptist Church mission and vision statements as outlined in church's Constitution and ByLaws.
• Leaders and volunteers must pass the church required and funded background check and Ministry Safe Training.

Job description

Purpose:

The Senior Pastor will be responsible for leading the church, His organization and staff to function as a New Testament Church and fulfill the Great Commission given him by the Chief Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ.

System of Accountability:

The Senior Pastor shall be accountable to Almighty God as the church will have recognized evidence of a personal call to minister. In that regard he will serve the church as the under shepherd and will be accountable to fulfill the duties of his office with the utmost integrity and morality. He will work with Personnel Committee for evaluations and be subject to corrective action as outlined in the Constitution and Bylaws of Brashear Baptist Church.
