Affirm seeks a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer in the United States to provide technical leadership across Commercial and Product Partnership teams, partnering with Shopify and Stripe to drive large cross‑functional programs. You will support ad‑hoc partner requests, collaborate with engineering on designs, and manage long‑term initiatives in a remote‑first environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a solutions engineering or related customer‑facing role.
• Ability to read and understand multiple programming languages.
• Experience with e‑commerce technologies and data models.
• Experience with JSON, HTML, REST APIs and Webhooks.
• Familiarity with integrating UX elements with backend services and third‑party APIs.
• Experience with alerting and monitoring tools.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Passion to improve consumer banking.
• Nice to have: experience with various partner types (platforms, processors, wallets).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans including solution design and testing plans.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for technical questions from external partner stakeholders.
• Develop integration materials and documentation for new products and features.
• Serve as an SME and escalation point for internal and external teams.
• Make recommendations on integration strategy and platform evolution.
• Explore how commercial strategy intersects with technical partnership capabilities.
• Contribute to external documentation to strengthen the partnership experience.
