Alumni Ventures is seeking a Senior Partner to convert qualified leads into first-time investors and establish long-term, annual allocations. You’ll own inbound conversations, tailor your approach to each prospect, and guide clients through AV’s multi-offering ecosystem, including syndicates or dedicated funds.
The role emphasizes solution selling, relationship-building, and data-driven follow-up. You’ll partner with Marketing and Nurture teams to refine messaging and support Investor Conversion
Alumni Ventures is one of the world’s most active venture capital platforms, with $1.4B+ in assets raised and investments in 1,600+ companies. Our network of 850,000+ members and 40+ dedicated investors connects accredited individuals to high-quality venture deals—typically reserved for institutions—through our alumni-driven communities and diversified co-investment strategy. With offices in Boston, New York, Chicago, Menlo Park, Manchester, NH, London and Tokyo we’re rapidly growing and committed to fueling entrepreneurial success while developing the next generation of VC professionals.
We believe our best work happens when we’re together. AV operates as a 5-day-a-week, in-office culture because collaboration, mentorship, and shared momentum matter.
The Senior Partner plays a critical role in Alumni Ventures’ growth: turning prospective investors into first-time AV investors and creating the foundation for long-term relationships.
Reporting to the EVP of Nurture Marketing as part of the Investor Conversion Pillar, you will own inbound and warm prospect conversations from qualification through close. You’ll serve as an internal expert on high-quality investor calls, quickly understanding what brought each prospect to AV, what they want from venture exposure, and which AV offering best fits their goals.
This is a solution-selling role, not a scripted sales role. Prospects come to AV with different motivations — from accessing compelling individual deals to building diversified venture exposure — and you’ll adapt the conversation accordingly. Depending on the investor, that could mean a syndicate deal, an Alumni Fund, a Focused Fund, or the Foundation Fund.
Your first priority is zero-to-one conversion: helping a net-new prospect make their first AV investment. Just as important, you’ll establish the trust and understanding that can support a long-term, annual-allocation relationship, which our Relationship Management team will carry forward.
We recognize that talent comes from many backgrounds. If you're excited about this opportunity and believe you'd be successful in the role, we encourage you to apply—even if your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification listed above.
Our Culture & How We Work at AV Regardless of title, this is what great looks like at AV.
