Job summary

Guilford County is seeking a detail‑oriented paralegal to assist County Attorneys in a broad range of legal tasks, including research, drafting, and case preparation. You will gather and organize legal materials, prepare documents and coordinate internal workloads to support efficient county operations.

Qualifications

Associates degree in paralegal or related field required; NC CPL preferred.
Strong legal research and investigative abilities; ability to handle confidential matters.
Ability to independently organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Gather and analyze statutes, cases, and legal articles to assist attorneys.
Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and leases.
Support trial preparation and organize factual and legal information.
Review and edit documents, manage calendars and court coverage.
Coordinate office activities and assist HR payroll back-up as needed.
