Job summary

National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) seeks a Paralegal Specialist ANM for Albuquerque. The position offers $30.00 per hour, 28 hours per week, and targets experienced workers aged 55+ supporting federal agency missions.

Responsibilities include probate case review, docketing, hearings, drafting probate orders, and assisting supervisory judges. Requires AA degree or paralegal certificate and at least 5 years paralegal experience; Windows/MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate + minimum 5 years of paralegal work experience.
• Experience in probate law is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review case files assigned for dockets to ensure completeness and accuracy; identify complications and verify heirs.
• Use the docketing system to update and schedule hearings with the judge.
• Prepare notices of probate hearings and assist the judge at hearings.
• Review case records after hearings to help determine sufficiency of evidence and schedule supplemental hearings if needed.
• Draft probate decisions or orders and review drafts for errors.
• Provide guidance to legal assistants and assist with scanning and mailings.
• Prepare case-related correspondence and assist with administrative duties such as timekeeping, purchasing, and bill-paying.

Education
