Job summary

Murray Osorio PLLC is seeking a Senior Paralegal, Defensive to support removal defense and related immigration matters. The role starts as a full-time hybrid position, with potential for full remote work after 90 days and occasional in-office days.

Travel within VA/MD/NJ may be required, and candidates must be fluent in Spanish. The Senior Paralegal will interface with clients, attorneys, and third-party professionals, preparing forms, affidavits, and motions while maintaining case databases and

Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
  • High School Diploma or GED required; ABA-approved paralegal studies degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law is required.
  • Knowledge of Immigration Court Procedures and ability to handle high volume work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing forms of relief (I-589s, I-601, I-485, etc.) for immigration court.
  • Collect evidence and conduct country conditions research to support cases.
  • Complete affidavits with clients and witnesses; prepare exhibits and packets for hearings.
  • Assist with simple and complex motions and ensure proper filing.
  • Maintain case-management databases and manage hearing calendars.
