Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Senior Paralegal in the Legal & Risk Department to prepare and review legal documents, conduct legal research, and manage data retention programs. You will support internal and external inquiries about contracts and related materials.

The ideal candidate has a law degree or paralegal certification with at least 10 years of experience, superior communication, confidentiality, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related area plus a minimum of 10 years of work experience; law degree/paralegal certification highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex policies and law clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced and varied workload with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review, revise, and draft legal documents including contracts, subpoenas, NDAs, board resolutions, and related correspondence.
• Maintain prompt communication and responses to internal and external inquiries about legal documents and contracts.
• Identify risks and propose alternatives to mitigate issues; conduct negotiations within authority.
• Provide legal research and assistance to company attorneys.
• Manage data retention and purging procedures for the organization.
