Job summary

Pathward, N.A. is seeking a Senior Paralegal to partner with attorneys and business teams on commercial and consumer lending, payments, and BaaS initiatives. The role blends contract management, regulatory support, and project coordination in a fast-paced environment.

You will draft, review, and negotiate financing documents, manage template agreements, and assist with litigation, subpoenas, and risk management. A paralegal certificate is preferred and 5+ years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience supporting commercial and consumer lending, fintech, payments, sponsor bank, BaaS, or other regulated financial services businesses preferred.
• Integrity, attention to detail, communication skills, organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents and third-party contracts with attorney oversight.
• Review, redline, and manage template agreements such as NDAs and banking/loan-related documents.
• Review loan closing packages for funding and approval processes.
• Assess marketing materials and disclosures for legal/regulatory compliance.
• Support attorneys with legal documentation and contract administration.
• Coordinate with business teams to gather info and facilitate timely reviews.
• Handle subpoenas, litigation support, and bankruptcy tasks as needed.
• Maintain case files, deadlines, and reporting for legal matters.
• Support Legal Ops tech, tools, and governance initiatives.
• Assist with third-party risk management and vendor contracts.
• Provide end-user onboarding and basic support for key legal systems.
• Contribute to department presentations and process-improvement efforts.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and compliance initiatives.
