Job summary

University of Denver is seeking a skilled Painter III to prepare surfaces for painting and wallpapering, apply paints and finishes to buildings and furniture, and manage ceramic tile work. The role may supervise lower classifications and requires physical resilience for lifting 100 lbs.

The position demands versatility, including driving to sites, estimating material/labor needs, and using scaffolding. A valid Colorado driver’s license and CMMS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years progressively responsible painting experience; two years with ceramic tile and wallpapering.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License; insurable under university guidelines.
• Pass a pre-employment physical exam and lift 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting and wallpapering; mix and apply paints and finishes.
• Tapes and textures drywall; hangs wallpaper; installs and repairs ceramic tile.
• Maintain brushes and equipment; prepare material/time/labor estimates; order supplies.
• Drive to sites with tools and equipment.
