Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Planning Senior Engineer, Paint Production, to drive automation robot projects, equipment deployment, and standardization across North American plants. The role emphasizes designing efficient paint shop layouts, executing capex-focused initiatives, and coordinating with cross-functional teams on schedule and budget.

You will develop and implement strategies for equipment deployment, become an expert in paint shop technologies, and communicate KPIs

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related technical field required.
• Experience with CAD/AutoCAD for layout and modeling.
• Minimum 2 years of project management in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Foundational knowledge of PLCs and controls.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
• Strong problem solving and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate equipment projects and assess detailed process and equipment capability for paint shop operations.
• Plan and lead automation robot projects and expansion initiatives across plants.
• Design paint shop layouts focusing on efficient materials handling, throughput, and safety.
• Create and maintain equipment specifications ensuring CoHE compliance and cross-NAM standardization.
• Prepare presentations and reports communicating project status and KPIs to stakeholders.
• Support conveyor and paint-line projects, including planning and coordination with partners.
