Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Supply Chain Packaging Sourcing Manager for the TikTok Shop in Los Angeles. You will lead strategy, supplier selection, and end-to-end packaging sourcing across fulfillment nodes.

The role emphasizes cost savings, should-cost modeling, packaging optimization, sustainability, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, engineering, finance, and sustainability teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Packaging, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, incl. 3+ years packaging sourcing.
• Direct sourcing in corrugated, flexible packaging, protective packaging, mailers or similar.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end sourcing processes: RFQs/RFPs, negotiation, contracting, and implementation.
• Track record of negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts with measurable savings.
• Experience with should-cost modeling, total-cost-of-ownership analysis, and packaging cost drivers.
• Strong supplier management, analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year packaging sourcing strategies across regions and fulfillment nodes.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing: supplier identification, RFQs/RFPs, auctions, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, implementation.
• Build should-cost models for key packaging inputs: board, resin, tooling, freight.
• Manage index-linked pricing and challenge price increases.
• Negotiate multi-million-dollar supplier agreements and track cost savings.
• Drive packaging optimization: right-sizing, cartonization, dimensional-weight reduction.
• Evaluate packaging materials for automation compatibility.
• Support sustainable packaging targets and recyclability initiatives.
• Develop supplier inventory/continuity programs (VMI, consignment).
• Monitor supplier health and risks; coordinate cross-functional alignment.
