Job summary

IFF Health & Biosciences in Clackamas, OR is seeking a Packaging Operator to support production goals with automated packaging equipment, following cgmp standards. You will work with supervisors, maintenance, engineering, and production staff, troubleshoot equipment, and train new operators.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 2pm–10:30pm, may exceed 40 hours. Commitment to safety, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement is expected in this role at a global leader in flavors, fragrances, and health

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Must pass drug screen and a background check in accordance with IFF standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex automatic machine operation functions in multiple work locations to support production goals and quality, cGMP standards.
• Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, engineering, and production crew to optimize packaging efficiency, troubleshoot equipment, and facilitate training of new staff.
• Act as a subject-matter resource for troubleshooting equipment and resolving routine process issues; provide mentorship to new or less-experienced team members.
• Operate advanced automated packaging equipment across multiple workstations, following detailed work instructions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Maintain cGMP compliance through accurate documentation, inspections, and annual re-qualification.
• Ensure workplace safety by identifying hazards, maintaining cleanliness, and following PPE requirements.
• Train new operators and participate in task forces focused on process improvement; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
