Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sr Engineer, Packaging Innovation & Development to lead cost-effective, sustainable packaging for Lowe's Private Brands across Home Décor, Hardlines and Building Materials. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver packaging that meets visual, cost and sustainability goals.

The role covers prototype development to final packaging designs, supporting over 400 product groups, with a focus on reducing material use, incorporating recyclable content

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in packaging design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience in packaging development.
• Proven experience with packaging materials and related technologies.
• Understanding of the complete packaging design process from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and revision of packaging concepts across Lowe's Private Brands categories.
• Develop plans for new and refreshed packaging systems, validate solutions and implement rollouts.
• Support sustainability goals through packaging that reduces material use and uses recyclable content.
• Define packaging specifications with QA, ensuring protection through the supply chain.
• Coordinate product commercialization timelines and packaging operations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver packaging solutions.
• Establish supplier relationships to drive innovation, efficiency and cost reduction.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research to identify packaging trends.
