Job summary

Globus Medical seeks a packaging engineer to lead sterile barrier packaging development for musculoskeletal implants. You will guide validation activities, coordinate changes with suppliers and sites, and ensure packaging protects devices through the supply chain.

Applicants should have extensive experience in medical device packaging, ISO 11607/13485 knowledge, and strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate with global and local teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or biomedical engineering (Master's a plus).
• Experience in medical device packaging engineering design and development.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 11607 (parts 1 & 2) standards and ISO 13485.
• Familiarity with ASTM tests for packaging verification/validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead sterile barrier packaging design and development for musculoskeletal implants.
• Provide guidance on process validation for new packaging configurations and lines.
• Develop and adhere to packaging design framework based on product development processes.
• Lead supplier- and site-initiated packaging changes.
• Perform transportation studies to protect devices during supply chain.
• Coordinate root cause investigations and improve manufacturing reliability.
• Maintain partnerships with stakeholders and suppliers on packaging changes.
• Mentor mid-level engineers on packaging engineering topics.
