Job summary

A leading packaging solutions company is seeking a skilled Packaging Engineer to develop innovative packaging for personal care and food products. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience in the packaging field and a BS in Packaging Engineering. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in the packaging field (Food, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Products).
• Ability to travel 20-25%.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with regional/global teams with varied backgrounds.
• Advanced technical competence in fabrication of plastic components: Injection Molding & Blow Molding.
• Willingness to travel 20-25%.

• Provide packaging options, engineer, test components, and adjust to meet customer requirements, cost targets, and manufacturing/shipping needs.
• Contribute technical input to package design for manufacturability and brand packaging elements.

Overview

Creating Packaging Solutions; Hiring Packaging Engineers. Location: Hybrid, candidates in the NY tri state area will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Development of primary and secondary packaging for Personal Care and/or Food Products.
• Author packaging specifications for primary & secondary packaging.
• Interface with Manufacturing and Supply Chain for packaging related projects including line trials, production start-ups, improving line efficiencies.
• Interact daily with the global Packaging group, and Supply Chain groups to ensure execution of projects.
• Provide packaging options, develop, engineer, test packaging components and modify as necessary to meet: customer requirements, functional parameters, cost targets, manufacturing & shipping requirements.
• Provide technical input to package design process and assure package design for manufacturing acceptability, while realizing desirable consumer & brand packaging elements.

Qualifications

• BS in Packaging Engineering or related field
• 7+ Years of experience in the packaging field (Food, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Products)
• Must be able to effectively organize and manage workflow of multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Must be able to work effectively with regional and/or global teams composed of individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds & perspectives.
• Advanced technical competence in fabrication of plastic components: Injection Molding & Blow Molding.
• Ability to travel 20-25%
