Job summary

BestCo LLC is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design and commercialize packaging for OTC and dietary supplement products. You will balance protection, consumer experience, manufacturability, and speed to market, partnering with R&D, Operations, Quality, and suppliers.

The role emphasizes change control, audit-ready documentation, and continuous improvement in quality, cost, and sustainability. Travel to suppliers is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 4 years’ packaging design and manufacturing experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, fulfillment, and distribution packaging environments.
• Ability to manage projects independently in cross‑functional settings.
• Knowledge of Materials Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain techniques.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings and translate requirements into specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead development and commercial packaging for OTC and dietary supplement products.
• Translate requirements into clear specifications and tradeoffs.
• Stay current on packaging technologies and propose cost-efficient, quality improvements.
• Manage drawings, specifications, BOMs, and change control documentation.
• Work with Engineering, Production, Marketing, and Purchasing to assess feasibility and costs.
• Develop packaging drawings, specs, samples, and analyses for approval.
