Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer for its Accelerator division. You will lead scoping, prototyping and PoP validation for next-generation packaging across a fast-moving portfolio, partnering with Marketing, R&D, Operations and Quality.

Expect to mentor peers, drive innovation and evolve packaging practices with an entrepreneurial mindset. Travel of up to 30-40% is typical as you collaborate across Mars' global teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on packaging engineering experience (concept-to-launch).
• Strong collaboration across Innovation, Sustainability, Marketing, Insights, Legal/Regulatory, QA and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead scoping, prototyping, development, pilot production and PoP validation for packaging innovations.
• Design and execute disciplined trial plans and analyze data to mitigate risk.
• Lead technical liaison with Marketing, R&D, Operations and Quality to bring solutions to market.
• Build and manage supplier relationships and monitor industry trends for packaging solutions.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Optimize packaging development processes and tools across the department.
