Job summary

A global medical device company is seeking a Sr. Engineer I - Packaging to provide packaging engineering support for design projects. The role involves coordinating packaging development activities, creating packaging specifications, and selecting appropriate materials. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in packaging design. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; preferably in Packaging Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Packaging Design and Development or Manufacturing required.
• Medical device packaging or manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Packaging Development activities for new MPI’s and product improvement projects.
• Create and maintain packaging engineering specifications using CAD.
• Select appropriate packaging materials based on product requirements.
• Oversee required package testing for sterile and non-sterile barrier protection.
• Create Bill of Materials and generate Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
