Job summary

Gilead Sciences Inc. is seeking a Packaging & Labeling professional to provide technical support for commercial packaging operations at external CMOs, manage deviations, and drive issue resolution to maintain product quality and supply continuity.

The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams on technology transfer, packaging design, and lifecycle management across global networks, with emphasis on cGMP and regulatory readiness. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with packaging development for oral solid dose and parenteral products is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, regulatory expectations, and global packaging standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for routine commercial packaging operations at CMOs, including deviations, complaints, and investigations.
• Drive timely issue resolution to ensure product quality and supply continuity.
• Lead or support technology transfer for packaging processes from development to commercial manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and external partners to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Review and approve packaging specifications and BOMs; initiate changes as needed.
• Support regulatory submissions and inspections related to packaging and labeling.
