Job summary

Tyson Foods in Springdale, AR is seeking a Packaging Systems Senior Specialist to manage and optimize packaging data across NPD and spec changes. You will enter, validate, and migrate data in legacy and new PLM systems, build reports in Power BI and Excel, and ensure data integrity.

As a senior team member, you’ll mentor others, collaborate across functions, and drive packaging excellence, sustainability, and compliance through rigorous analysis, documentation, and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 7+ years without a degree.
• Experience with product lifecycle management in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Data Entry and QA – input data into PLM systems and validate accuracy.
• Data Analysis and Reporting – build regular/ad-hoc reports with PLM, Power BI, and Excel.
• System Configuration and Testing – assist setup and testing of the new PLM system.
• Data Migration – merge and clean data from legacy systems for migration.
• Documentation, Training, and Change Management – create docs and train users.
• Collaboration – communicate with stakeholders to drive outcomes and manage risks.
• Packaging Expertise – apply packaging data knowledge to operations and sustainability.
• Mentorship – guide less-experienced team members and share best practices.
