Job summary

Alvernia University seeks a full-time, in-person, non-tenure track faculty member for the Physician Assistant Program housed in the College of Health Sciences. The position reports to the PA Program Director and supports day-to-day operations and student education at the John R.

Post Center, Reading CollegeTowne site. Required qualifications include NCCPA certification, at least three years of clinical PA experience, and a master’s degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, revise, and coordinate curriculum for didactic and clinical years.
• Collaborate with Program Director and faculty to deliver curriculum content.
• Instruct didactic and clinical year students.
• Develop and evaluate student assessments.
• Mentor and advise PA students.
• Participate in program mission, goals, and competencies development.
• Participate in program evaluation and planning.
• Select PA program admissions candidates.
• Provide academic counseling.
• Participate in student remediation.
• Contribute to self-assessment and planning.
• Provide instruction related to clinical expertise as assigned.
