Job summary

Ampirical is seeking an experienced Projects Scheduler in Covington, KY to create and maintain integrated schedules for large EPC utility projects. You will monitor critical paths, lead scheduling meetings, and drive schedule performance with stakeholders.

The role requires a strong background in Primavera P6, MS Excel, and PMI scheduling credentials, with 10+ years in the field and excellent communication with clients and vendors. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred with 10+ years of planning/scheduling for EPC projects in the utility sector.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel; Primavera and PMI Scheduling Professional certifications preferred.
• Strong communication with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure schedules are accurate and on track.

Responsibilities

• Create, monitor, and update integrated project schedules to ensure efficiency in time and cost.
• Prepare baseline schedules for project team approval and ensure they are regularly reviewed and updated.
• Monitor critical path activities, report deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze schedules from multiple sources to ensure project integrity and optimize constructability.
• Lead project scheduling meetings and document lessons learned to improve future scheduling.

What You’ll Do

• Create, monitor, and update integrated project schedules to ensure efficiency in both time and cost.
• Prepare baseline schedules for project team approval and ensure they are regularly reviewed and updated.
• Monitor critical path activities, report deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze schedules from multiple sources to ensure project integrity and make sure all sequences are optimized for constructability.
• Lead project scheduling meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure schedules meet company standards and client needs. Document project “lessons learned” to enhance future scheduling efficiency.

What You Bring

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred with 10+ years of experience in planning/scheduling for EPC projects in the utility sector
• Technical Skills: Expertise in modern scheduling tools, especially Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel; Primavera and PMI Scheduling Professional certifications preferred
• Industry Knowledge: Utility experience is strongly preferred
• Communication: Able to work effectively with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure schedules are accurate and projects are on track
