Job summary

Farm Family seeks a Senior P&C Data Scientist to lead the development and improvement of analytical models for pricing, underwriting, and portfolio management. The role collaborates with pricing actuaries, underwriting, claims, distribution, product, and IT to translate business questions into actionable analytical solutions and deploy models into pricing workflows.

Based on a hybrid/onsite model across multiple cities, the candidate will mentor junior team members, drive model risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as math, stats, actuarial science, CS, or data science.
• 5+ years in data science, analytics, pricing, actuarial, or related roles.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R.
• Experience with large datasets and applying ML methods to real-world problems.
• Strong analytical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to own complex analytical models independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and maintain analytical models for P&C pricing and segmentation.
• Own pricing models and translate results into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with actuaries, underwriting, distribution, and product teams.
• Lead end-to-end analytic lifecycle from data exploration to deployment.
• Design validation frameworks and monitor model performance.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to analytics standards.
