Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Physician III at the Rio Grande State Center in Harlingen to lead physicians, PAs and APRNs, delivering high‑quality medical care for patients with psychiatric disorders. You will oversee clinical operations, infection control, and collaboration with other physicians within a state hospital setting.

Required are a Texas medical license, DEA, NPI, and at least three years of clinical or public health experience, with a focus on leadership

Qualifications

• Must have an unrestricted Texas medical license to practice as a Doctor by the Texas Medical Board.
• Current DEA registration and NPI required for Medicaid/Medicare enrollment.
• Three years of clinical or public health experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Lead Physicians, PAs and APRNs in the general medical clinic.
