Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Security Architect – Operational Technology (OT) to provide architecture guidance and technical oversight for industrial environments. The role covers site-level design reviews, segmentation validation, secure connectivity planning, exception analysis, and risk-based decision-making across engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in cybersecurity, IT, engineering, or related field.
• 8–10+ years in cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, or security architecture.
• 5+ years supporting OT, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of network security, segmentation, and secure connectivity.
• Experience reviewing designs against architecture standards and requirements.
• Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder management and risk-based decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Apply OT cybersecurity standards and approved design patterns to site-level implementations.
• Review OT network, firewall, secure access, monitoring and infrastructure designs for alignment with standards.
• Identify gaps and recommend remediation options for design constraints or operational concerns.
• Support architecture reviews for site implementations and operational changes.
• Validate segmentation, zoning, firewall, and remote access expectations.
• Participate in discussions for complex OT implementations and support transition to steady-state operations.
• Provide risk assessments, input for risk acceptance discussions, and remediation planning.
• Advise on secure connectivity patterns and Zero Trust alignment for OT users and devices.
• Ensure designs include monitoring, documentation, and escalation considerations.
