Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Colorado is seeking an Orbital Analyst to join a dynamic space systems team at Schriever SFB. You will perform orbit determination, space situational awareness analysis, and design reference missions using MATLAB, STK, Freeflyer, and related tools.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance and a degree with years of related experience; you will collaborate across software, systems, and engineering disciplines to deliver national security space capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active adjudicated Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related experience; graduate degree and 4+ years; or 10 years of related experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms, quantitative analyses, orbit determination, and trade studies.
• Create models, simulations, and analysis tools for space analysis activities.
• Collaborate with software teams to implement and validate models for user capabilities.
• Develop new algorithms, enhance tools, and perform analyses.
• Interacts with customers and provides input to project managers on deliverables.
• May act as a technical lead for limited project aspects.
• Willingness to perform 24/7 crew operations on rotating schedule if needed.
