Openkrill in the United States is seeking a Senior DBA who can manage Oracle and MS SQL Server environments across on‑prem, OCI, and AWS with a strong focus on DR and performance.

You will lead DR drills, tune performance, implement migrations, and handle routine operations such as cloning and data refreshes while ensuring security and reliability.

This role requires 9+ years of hands‑on experience and a Bachelor's degree, with excellent collaboration skills for enterprise cloud projects.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of hands-on DBA experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Strong DR design and operations experience (Data Guard, Always On, Log Shipping).
• Hands-on OCI experience for database hosting and management.
• Proven performance tuning across Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience with cloning, refresh processes, and cross-database connectivity.
• Understanding of database links / linked servers and cross-platform replication.
• Proficiency with RMAN backups and recovery workflows.
• Knowledge of backup/recovery security, patching, and upgrade methodologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot incidents under production pressure.

Responsabilités

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle and MS SQL Server databases in production, staging, and development environments.
• Design, implement, and test DR setups; document RTO/RPO compliance and perform drills.
• Manage OCI-hosted databases and related infrastructure (OCI networking, storage, security).
• Perform SQL query tuning, memory and I/O optimization, and wait-event analysis across platforms.
• Perform cloning (RMAN duplicate, Data Pump) and data refresh activities between environments.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot database links and cross-platform connectivity.
• Maintain backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, native backups) and validate recoverability.
• Collaborate with application, infra, and cloud teams; participate in on-call rotations.
