Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our Oracle Applications team. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot core database modules and system interfaces while collaborating with analysts, project managers, and cross-functional developers.

Location: Remote. Employment Type: Full-Time. Requirements include Oracle RDBMS, SQL/PLSQL, and experience with SQLPLUS and TOAD. A U.S. citizenship is required due to ITAR regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years experience.
• Proven track record as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, ideally in a manufacturing, defense, or aerospace environment.
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS and application development using Oracle 11g/10g/6i.
• Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, SQLPLUS, SQLLOADER, and TOAD (or sql developer).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex database objects including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Develop and support robust system interfaces; maintain materialized views for data replication.
• Coordinate with project managers and analysts to gather specifications and draft technical design documents.
• Monitor and tune PL/SQL packages and procedures for performance improvements.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth transitions of designs to developers.
• Participate in all SDLC phases from analysis to design, testing, and deployment.

Role Overview

Join the Oracle Applications team at Sanmina Corporation to drive the ongoing development, optimization, and support for the SCI Defense and Aerospace division. We are looking for a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and troubleshoot core database modules and system interfaces, collaborating closely with analysts, project managers, and cross-functional developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex database objects—including Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers —using SQL and PL/SQL.
• System Integration: Develop and support robust system interfaces; design and maintain materialized views for data replication in distributed environments.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Coordinate with project managers and analysts to gather specifications for core modules, draft technical design documents, and document processes for effective evaluation.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor existing PL/SQL packages and stored procedures, recommending tuning strategies for business process improvements where needed.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Act as a technical point of contact to troubleshoot user- reported issues and ensure efficient transitions of technical designs to application developers.
• SDLC Management: Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from analysis to design, testing, and implementation, ensuring timely delivery against aggressive deadlines.

Technical Requirements & Skills

• Core Technologies: Experience in Oracle Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and application development using Oracle 11g/10g/6i.
• Database Programming: Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, SQLPLUS, SQLLOADER, and TOAD (or sql developer).
• Advanced PL/SQL: Experience in table triggers, bulk collections, and analytical functions.
• Oracle Supplied Packages: Working knowledge of DBMS_SQL, DBMS_JOB, and UTL_FILE.
• Database Architecture: Experience in creating/modifying Tables, Views, Constraints, and Indexes.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)

While not explicitly required, experience in the following areas is highly valued:

• Data Warehousing & ETL: Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, Extract-Transform-

Load processes, and data migration.

• Legacy Oracle: Experience with Oracle Forms (6i) and Oracle Reports (6i).
