Job summary

Expert Technology Services in Raleigh, NC seeks a Senior Oracle Exadata DBA to lead the migration of large Oracle 19c databases to Oracle Exadata in AWS, and to optimize, administer, and support Exadata platforms across development, test, and production environments.

The role requires designing Exadata configurations, performing advanced tuning, and ensuring high availability with Data Guard and GoldenGate replication. On-call rotation and weekend coverage are expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Oracle Exadata architecture and Exadata features.
• Strong background in large Oracle databases and AWS deployments.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize Exadata configurations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of large 19c databases to Oracle Exadata in AWS.
• Design Exadata-optimized configurations and performance strategies.
• Manage Exadata dev/test/prod environments including schema design and SQL tuning.
• Perform advanced performance tuning using AWR/ASH analysis and indexing strategies.
• Administer high availability with Data Guard and manage GoldenGate replication.
• Troubleshoot performance, configuration, and availability issues across Exadata and Linux.
• Perform backups, patching, and upgrades for Exadata environments.
