Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support enterprise-scale Oracle database applications and data integration solutions. This role focuses on hands-on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, production issue resolution, and data feed maintenance.

You will work with DBAs, developers, and stakeholders to resolve complex issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliable production environments using Oracle, NiFi, AWS, APIs, and file-based interfaces.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing and supporting Oracle Database solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and tuning database performance.
• Familiarity with enterprise integrations using NiFi, AWS, APIs, and file exchanges.

Responsibilities

• Debug, analyze, and resolve complex Oracle SQL, PL/SQL issues across environments.
• Refactor and maintain SQL/PL/SQL code, packages, procedures, and interfaces.
• Develop ad hoc queries and scripts for investigations, reporting, and validation.
• Monitor and maintain enterprise data feeds and integrations with Oracle and AWS.
• Perform root-cause analysis for failed data flows and coordinate remediation.
• Tune workloads via execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and optimizer stats.
• Support deployments, releases, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Collaborate with RAC DBAs on backups, Data Guard, security, and incident response.
• Create and maintain technical docs, runbooks, and deployment procedures.
