Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners seeks a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to develop, troubleshoot, optimize, and sustain enterprise Oracle database applications and data integrations. You will work hands-on with SQL/PL/SQL, production issue resolution, and data feeds across NiFi, AWS, and APIs.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of Oracle experience, strong performance tuning, and familiarity with RAC/Data Guard.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Oracle DB development and support.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT; four years additional experience may substitute.
• Experience debugging production issues and tuning database performance.
• Familiarity with NiFi, AWS, APIs, and file-based data exchanges.
• Knowledge of RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, security, and release practices.

Responsibilities

• Debug, analyze, and resolve Oracle SQL/PL/SQL issues across environments.
• Review, refactor, optimize SQL/PL/SQL code including packages/procedures.
• Develop ad hoc queries to support investigations and validation.
• Monitor and maintain data feeds and integrations via NiFi, AWS, APIs.
• Investigate failed data flows and coordinate remediation with teams.
• Tune workloads using execution plans, indexing, and partitioning.
• Support deployments, releases, and post-deployment validation.
• Collaborate with DBAs for RAC, backups, Data Guard, and security.
• Create and maintain technical docs and runbooks.
