Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle APEX Developer to design, build, enhance, integrate, and support enterprise-level applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.

This role will work closely with business users, Oracle Fusion functional teams, application developers, database administrators, and other technology groups to develop secure, scalable applications that support complex enterprise processes.

This position involves access to ITAR/export-controlled information. Candidates must qualify as a “U.S. person” under applicable U.S. export-control regulations and must be eligible to perform the work without requiring an export license or other export authorization.

Candidates working under H-1B, F-1 OPT, STEM OPT, or other temporary/nonimmigrant work-authorized status that requires export authorization for access to ITAR-controlled technical data are not eligible for this position.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Oracle APEX development experience along with Oracle database development, PL/SQL, integrations, REST services, and exposure to Oracle Fusion applications.

Experience supporting Aerospace, Defense, Government, or other highly regulated environments is highly desirable but is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications built with Oracle APEX.
• Build Oracle APEX pages, forms, dashboards, interactive reports, interactive grids, workflows, validations, dynamic actions, processes, and reusable application components.
• Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL solutions, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and database processing logic.
• Design and maintain Oracle database objects, application data structures, and supporting data models.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions and user-friendly applications.
• Develop applications and enhancements supporting Oracle Fusion business processes across areas such as Finance, HCM, Projects, Procurement, Inventory, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and related enterprise functions.
• Build and maintain integrations between Oracle APEX, Oracle Fusion, third-party applications, and external platforms.
• Develop integrations using REST APIs, RESTful services, web services, ORDS, JSON, and related technologies.
• Implement and maintain application authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, and other security requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve application, database, integration, data, and performance-related issues.
• Optimize SQL queries, database processes, and Oracle APEX applications for performance, stability, and scalability.
• Maintain data quality, consistency, integrity, and application reliability.
• Participate in Oracle APEX and Oracle Database upgrades, patching, regression testing, enhancements, and production releases.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, system testing, and support user acceptance testing.
• Work with development, QA, functional, infrastructure, and database teams during application deployments across development, test, and production environments.
• Create and maintain technical specifications, application documentation, data models, integration documents, deployment instructions, and support documentation.
• Follow established development standards, secure coding practices, version-control processes, and enterprise data-governance requirements.
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy or manual business processes through Oracle APEX-based applications.
• Provide technical guidance and promote Oracle APEX and Oracle Database development best practices.

• Experience working in large-scale Oracle Fusion environments.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or manual business processes using Oracle APEX.

A minimum of 2 days onsite per week is mandatory.

Employment Structure

This opportunity will begin as a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement with the expectation of conversion to a regular full-time employee following successful completion of the contract period.
