Job summary

McKinsey & Company seeks a technologist to advance AI and analytics across industries from its US offices. You will join multidisciplinary teams to build scalable AI platforms, open-source tools like Kedro, and advanced analytics capabilities to tackle real-world supply chain challenges.

You will work on agentic AI systems, digital twins, and optimization across client engagements, with opportunities to present results to leadership and collaborate with client teams. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in CS/ML/Statistics/Math/Engineering/AI
• 5+ years of deep technical experience in operations research/optimization or related data science work
• Programming in Python, C++, Java
• Proven application of operations research methods in the commercial world
• Knowledge of software development tools and practices (testing, version control, CI/CD)
• Understanding of supply chain concepts (strategy, production planning, scheduling, design, inventory, logistics)
• Desirable: NLP or generative AI experience (model development/deployment)
• Technologies: Python, PySpark, PyData stack, SQL, Airflow, Databricks, Kedro, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure
• Willingness to travel
• Strong presentation/communication skills to explain analytics to non-experts

Responsibilities

• Work in multidisciplinary teams to build AI/ML products and platforms
• Contribute across product teams on agentic AI systems, digital twins and analytics platforms
• Develop open-source frameworks and libraries (Kedro, ARK) for data practitioners
• Apply operations research methods to client supply chain challenges
• Enhance analytics tools to tailor solutions and implement recommendations
• Present results to client leadership and collaborate on implementation
• Grow at the forefront of AI and analytics across industries
