Job summary

Roboticsconnected is seeking a Senior Opto Mechanical Design Engineer to lead development of next-generation Silicon Photonics optoelectronic devices, integrating mechanical, optical, and electrical subsystems.

You will drive detailed designs, tolerances, and manufacturing considerations from concept through production, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in related engineering roles.
• Experience with detail design, development and validation of mechanical assemblies for prototype volumes to mass manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of design for assembly and integration in complex optoelectronic devices including tolerance stack analysis.
• Knowledge in manufacturing processes for assembly of optoelectronic devices (die attach, wirebond, active alignment, hermetic sealing).
• Experience in design for manufacturing across the entire product life cycle from concept thru volume production.
• Knowledge of part manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, machining, thin film and thick film ceramics, and HTCC ceramics is desirable.

Salary Range

Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future.
