Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Production Line Engineer in Sugar Land, Texas. You will support the daily production of optical modules and assist in supervising technicians and operators. This role involves modifying manufacturing processes, establishing inspection standards, and ensuring operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and possess 3-5 years of experience in an optical module manufacturing environment. Benefits include competitive health plans, 401(k) matching, and a generous PTO policy.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of working experience in optical module manufacturing or related industrial environment.
• Knowledge of common programming languages.
• Six Sigma Management and CAD design certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain optical module daily production.
• Provide qualification SOP and instructions for Technicians and Operators.
• Modify necessary manufacturing processes as needed.
• Work with Quality team to establish inspection standards for new material.
• Organize employee schedules and approve time sheets.
